Tanzania

Tanzania safari tours include land of wide-open plains, famed as the place where safaris were born and thousands of wildebeest live their lives to the never-ending rhythm of the Great Migration. The snows of Kilimanjaro tower over the endless plains of the Serengeti, and a necklace of lakes and volcanic craters – including the renowned Ngorongoro Crater – traces the line of the Great Rift Valley as it carves through the continent. Humanity’s past and present co-exist as Maasai warriors stand with spear tips piercing the forever skies not far from where humanity’s ancient ancestors made their home.

Kenya

Kenya has endless savannah plains and scorched deserts interrupted by snow-capped mountains, cool highlands and equatorial forests. The scenic coastline possesses the atmosphere of a paradise island and is sprinkled with colourful coral reefs.

The highland areas of Central Kenya – including the Laikipia Plateau – provide fertile ground for farming, making Kenya one of the most agriculturally productive countries in Africa; this area is considered the fertile breadbasket of the Kenyan people. Four rivers, of which one is perennial, flow through the area making for an even more compelling locale for animals and people alike.

Botswana

Situated in the centre of southern Africa, Botswana lies at about 950 metres above sea level and more than 600 kilometres from the nearest coast. The country’s most striking features are its flatness and aridity. With the exception of the eastern part of Botswana – where the great majority of Batswana live and where the summer rainfall is slightly higher – three-quarters of Botswana is technically a desert. This is what makes for its most remarkable aspect: The Okavango Delta is a wetland within a desert, receiving its waters from rain falling in central Africa, a thousand kilometres away. Wildlife and tourism employs about 45% of all the people who live in northern Botswana.
